About Us
2012 - The Beginning
The first home Rory and Lauren built was in Southern California. As first time homebuilders, they had an immense amount to learn regarding design styles, lighting, landscape materials, HOA regulations - the list goes on and on! This is where the spark of love of design began for Lauren and where Rory's expertise of being a civil engineer became extremely useful. Before leaving Southern California in 2015, Lauren completed several interior design projects for private homes as well as various commercial projects.
Since that first home in California, Rory and Lauren have built several homes and designed multiple landscaping projects in various states as well as taken on full home remodels. The passion for design has only grown deeper and with their increased knowledge gained over the years, they were finally able to realize their dream of launching a multi-faceted design company - Walter Design Co. in 2024.

Our mission is to create beautiful spaces that inspire beautiful lives. When clients have a home they love to spend time in, it invites them to create memories with family and friends that they will never forget. It is our sincere desire for this to be the outcome for every client we work with.
